Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Yobu mobile app and related services ("Yobu", "the service"), operated by Innoventis Infotech. By creating an account or using Yobu, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Yobu. In some countries (including parts of the EU/EEA) the minimum age to consent to online services without parental permission is higher than 13 (up to 16). If you are under that age, or under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and consented to your use of the service.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You may not share your account or use someone else's credentials.
- You may not create an account using false information or impersonate another person.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Permitted use
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or AI prompts of Yobu.
- Use Yobu to send spam, harass others, or generate harmful content.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Yobu system without prior written permission.
- Use Yobu in any manner that violates applicable law.
- Interfere with other users' ability to use the service.
- Use automated scripts to extract data, create accounts, or submit content at scale.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Yobu offers free and paid (Pro) tiers. Pro features are clearly marked in the app.
- Free trial. Yobu Pro may be offered with a free trial (currently 7 days). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid auto-renewing subscription at the price shown at sign-up, charged to your store account. You can cancel any time before the trial ends in your store subscription settings to avoid being charged; deleting the app does not cancel the trial.
- Trial eligibility is limited (generally one trial per user or store account) and is determined by Apple or Google. If you have already used a trial, Yobu may offer a direct paid subscription instead.
- Auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the price of the selected plan. The subscription title, length, and price (including the per-period price) are shown before you purchase.
- To manage or cancel, use your store account (Settings → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Subscriptions on Android).
- Refunds are handled by the store under their respective refund policies — Yobu cannot directly refund store-billed subscriptions.
- If a payment fails, your account may enter a grace period before Pro features are revoked.
- Deleting your Yobu account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel separately in your store account.
5. AI features
- Yobu uses generative AI to extract reminders, edit notes, and answer questions.
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unexpected. You are responsible for verifying anything important.
- Do not rely on AI output as professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.
- AI input you provide may be sent to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini) under those providers' terms. See our Privacy Policy.
- You can flag inappropriate AI output via the Report button in the app.
6. Content
- Your reminders, to-dos, notes, memories, habits, chat messages, and files remain yours.
- You grant Yobu a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
- When you share a reminder with another user, you grant them access to that reminder's content for as long as they are a member, and you grant Yobu the license needed to make that sharing work.
- You represent that you have the right to upload content you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or violate applicable law.
7. Reminders and notifications — important limits
- We do not guarantee that any specific reminder will fire on time, or at all.
- Notifications can be delayed or dropped by your device, operating system, battery saver, network, or by Yobu.
- Do not rely on Yobu for time-critical medication, emergency alerts, or any situation where a missed notification could cause harm.
- For such uses, use a purpose-built medical reminder device or service.
8. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete account.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
- Account deletion has a 30-day grace period. Sign in within 30 days to restore. After that, your data is permanently deleted.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will be delivered reliably.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yobu and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yobu from any claims arising out of your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Connected services (Google Calendar)
- Yobu offers an optional Google Calendar connection (a Pro feature). If you connect, you authorize Yobu to access, display, and — when you make changes in Yobu — modify the events on the Google calendars you choose to sync, on your behalf.
- This feature depends on Google and your Google account. It is provided "as is"; we do not control and are not responsible for Google's services or availability, or for any data loss or change that occurs in your Google Calendar. Your use of Google is also governed by Google's own terms.
- You confirm you are authorized to access the calendars you connect, and you are responsible for the events and changes you make through Yobu.
- You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Calendar, which stops access and removes the synced copy. How we handle Google Calendar data is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will trigger an in-app re-acceptance prompt. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms.
